I Built You: The First Voice Theory - is your first reaction really yours?

Two days in and this book has already split the room in the best way. I Built You: The First Voice Theory asks a deceptively simple question: when you react to something, whose voice is actually speaking - yours, or one you were handed? Some of us found the reflective sections unputdownable, some wanted more everyday examples and clearer definitions, and a few of us disagree with the conclusions entirely. All of that belongs here. The book is on Amazon for anyone joining late - keep it spoiler-light above the fold, please.

Three weeks anticipating Plausible Liars: who do you believe from the synopsis alone?

I went into Lin Wilder's Plausible Liars expecting a straightforward medical thriller and got something closer to an ethics seminar with a pulse, at least from the premise. Dr. Lindsey McCall and Kate Townsend are chasing the same rot from two directions, and the book keeps asking a question I can't shake: at what point does a reasonable person become a liar? None of us have a copy yet, so this thread is pure anticipation - the synopsis, the cover, the interviews, the sample pages. Opening the floor. We'll mark spoilers properly once the book is actually out.
